The government of Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla has two economic policy scenarios to choose from. First is “business as usual” scenario, which is basically continuing existing economic policy. Second is the scenario to seize an opportunity to achieve the double digit growth we all have been dreaming for.
“Reposisi Politik Pertanian” is an important contribution to our understanding of agricultura`l policy by three of Indonesia’s leading scholars of agricultural development. The book calls for the formulation of a “new and effective Agriculture Politics” to reverse the trend towards agricultural involution, land-grabbing, rising food imports and stagnant productivity.
The authors discuss the application of Blue Economy principles to raise production, create jobs, increase farm incomes and protect the environment. Government must redirect spending on fertilizer and seed subsidies to investment in infrastructure and human resource development.

The Idea for One Agency One Innovation initiative was not conceived overnight. it is a result of contremplations and learning processes and experiences on varius efforts to increase the qualitiy of public service in national and international level. it is not only an obligatiton to but also an obligation to increase their services expenetially, in trems of both quality and quantity and to structure and plan it well. with that in mind, in the end of year 2013, I issued Minister Decree No. 15 2013 concerning Public Service Innovation Contenst as one agenda in 2014 as Public Service Year.
